I have been involved in speciality practise from 1997. My expertise ranges from periodontics, my field of speciality to general dentistry. Having worked in a dental consultancy where general dentistry has been the key element of treatment delivery, I have been able to treat my patients from a complete rehabilitation point of view. My fields of interest have been endodontics, oral surgery and orthodontics apart from laser dentistry which is part of my speciality, periodontics. I have kept myself updated and have been a regular in attending advanced speciality course for the same. I have also been trained in advanced cardiac life support which is a requisite when practising in an advanced speciality dental care. Over the years, I have attended various hands on workshops. The laser courses I have attended are from basic to advance with emphasis on oral oncology with hands on training related to the three most common wavelengths used in dentistry, diode, CO2 and Erbium. I have also participated in various congresses related to the field of endodontics and its management of endo-perio conditions. I have been trained in most of the rotary systems used in endodontics over the last few years. Attending endodontic microscope workshops in recent years have given me confidence to treat re-endodontic cases from both periodontal and endodontic point of view. The incorporation of minor orthodontic treatment in my practise has given me the ability to evaluate ortho-perio cases more diligently. The use of various appliances has helped me treat periodontal cases better and also by putting them on a regular follow-up. I have also managed minor oral surgical procedures, such as impactions, cyst enucleation, vestibuloplasties, the knowledge of which has helped me plan my periodontal surgical procedures such as bone, soft tissue graft and implant treatment. Restorative procedures such as fillings, inlay, onlay preparation, crown preparation has also been a regular feature of my practice.
