Moayad Jamal Saeed Al Shahwan

Dr. Moyad Jamal Shahwan is a Professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Head of the Center of Medical and Bio-Allied Health Sciences Research, working at the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) in Ajman University (AU), Ajman Campus, since September 2009. Dr. Moyad Shahwan is a distinguished Professor of Clinical Biochemistry at Ajman University with extensive expertise in the fields of clinical biochemistry, drug discovery, and metabolic diseases. Throughout his career, Dr. Shahwan has made significant contributions to understanding complex biochemical pathways related to neurodegenerative diseases, cancer biology, and cardiovascular health. His recent research has focused on drug repurposing and molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease, where his pioneering work has led to new insights into potential therapeutic targets. Dr. Shahwan has also collaborated with various national and international research institutions, producing a robust portfolio of impactful publications in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals. In addition to his research, Dr. Shahwan is actively involved in academic leadership as the Founder and Head of the Medical & Bio-Allied Health Sciences Research Center at Ajman University. Under his leadership, the center has grown to become a hub for interdisciplinary research collaboration. Recognized for his academic achievements, Dr. Shahwan continues to mentor young researchers and students, fostering a generation of scientists committed to advancing the frontiers of medical and health sciences. His work has garnered citations worldwide, establishing him as a leader in his field.
