Dr. Ayman Tawfik is the Head of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Ajman University. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Victoria, Canada (1995), and both an MSc and BSc from Ain Shams University, Egypt (1989 and 1983, respectively). With over 30 years of experience in teaching a wide range of academic courses, Dr. Tawfik has extensive expertise in ABET accreditation and reaccreditation processes for electrical engineering programs. He has published numerous research papers in prestigious journals and conferences. Additionally, Dr. Tawfik has worked as a researcher for the Department of National Defence (DND) in Canada and as a consultant for Egetronic Company in Egypt. His research interests include Internet-of-Things (IoT), digital signal processing, digital image processing, VLSI signal processing, digital communication, and educational technology.
