The Unit of Athletics at Ajman University's Office of Student Life organized a virtual awareness workshop aimed at encouraging young people to re-engage in sports activities after the summer months. Held in collaboration with the Ajman Youth Council, the workshop focused on promoting safe and healthy participation in sports following an extended period of rest.
The workshop, led by Manal Alkatalbi, Sports Activities Supervisor at Ajman University, covered strategies to increase physical activity levels, proper hydration, and maintaining a balanced diet for optimal athletic performance. Participants also explored psychological challenges after a break and received practical tips on staying motivated and focused.
A key highlight of the workshop was the discussion on effective strategies to help young athletes overcome challenges after resuming sports activities post-summer. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, allowing participants to share their experiences, exchange insights, and deepen their understanding of summer sports participation for improved physical fitness and overall well-being.
Furthermore, participants commended the university's efforts in organizing this workshop and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in raising awareness about the benefits of sports and inspiring young people to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle.
