As part of Phase II of "Nutirition Awareness" program, The University Department of Housing in the Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with Dr. Nutrition in Ajman organized an awareness workshop entitled "Healthy Food, Healthy Future" in the women student residence. The participation was open to all women students residing in Ajman and nearby emirates. Dr. Mustafa Najib, a nutritionist at the center, presented the workshop.
Dr. Mustafa discussed the nutritional guidelines, and touched on the diseases associated with obesity, healthy food ingredients and body mass index. Dr. Mustafa explained the impact of healthy nutrition and its positive effects in supporting the overall health.
Dr. Mustafa answered many questions asked by students who were eager to know more. He provided sound advice on how to calculate body mass and fat levels in the body and explained the most effective ways to reduce fat and toxins in the body to maintain the body’s harmonic texture.
During the lecture, more than 90 students were screened free of charge. A complete body scan was performed using a scanner to identify the body's fat areas.in addition, diet food samples were also distributed to students.
