It was yet another exciting installment of end-to-end action across 10 teams as the 2019 Ramadan Futsal Championship came to a close on final day at the Ajman University Sports Complex.
The College of Law team proved to be the story of the day, came out on the top and won Gold medals despite the stiff competition over the week-long tournament which was hailed as one of the best nationwide.
The College of Law team has beaten their counterparts of the College of Business Administration 6-2 in the final match, which saw the presence of a large student audience of all teams.
The annual championship, run the Office of Athletics, witnessed the participation of 10 teams from the colleges of Dentistry, Law, Engineering – 2 teams, Business Administration – 4 teams, and Mass Communication – 2 teams.
Captain Abdul Hamid Bakour, AU athletics supervisor, said the championship, overseen by expert referee Captain Ahnash, was a big success.
“Abdul Aziz Jab, College of Business Administration, seized the Best Player title, while the Anas Mohammed, College of Law, was honored as the Best Scorer, and Bakr Naseef as the Best Goalkeeper.”
