Ajman University (AU), as part of a series of functions to mark the ‘Year of Tolerance’, has arranged a fun day for 130 of its workers at the Al Helio Park, Ajman.
The ‘AU Tolerance Day’, assumed by the Office of Community Engagement, saw the participation of a big number of voluntary students who wanted to share the moment with AU workers.
Noor Al Chaghouri, Head of Community service, said they ran an array of activities, exercises and games to cheer up the workers.
“These included A3 paper Game, Pasta Challenge, Onion Cutting Challenge, Chair Game, and Bag Race.”
The male and female workers, having performed the Friday Prayer, had lunch, following which gift vouchers and two air tickets were distributed to the workers as per a raffle draw.
“A group picture of all workers was taken, and finally they were dropped back at the AU university.”
Driver Hakim said he was so excited about the fun-filled function. “We wish for more of this cheerful day.”
Helmi, a security staff, said the function has made them all happy. “This day is a reflection of the AU tolerance.”
Few days ago, AU students contributed 150 charity boxed, stuffed with hygiene items, to low-income workers, as part of the “Box Appeal” initiatives.
Similar boxes were collected from other partners and contributed to over 2,000 workers of Dubai Municipality.
