Ajman University (AU), all set to enlighten students about the latest trends in relevant fields, has organized a visit to the anti-narcotics department of Dubai police.
The AU College of Law students were enlightened how synthetic drugs are prepare in secret laboratories. They also learnt how Dubai Police detect them.
The students then visited the laboratory of psychotropic substances where they saw some samples of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
Lt-Col. Khawla Obaid Bu Samarah, Head of Synthetic Drugs Control Section, told the students about the natural characteristics of these life-threatening substances.
Brigadier Eid Mohammed Thani, Director General of Anti-Narcotics Department at Dubai Police, updated the students about the latest amendments of the anti-narcotics federal law No 14/1995 they are studying in the University.
The AU College of Law, to link theoretical study with practice, has organized another visit to the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Center where the students were briefed on the center’s procedures and services.
Dr. Asma Al-Rasheed, Member of the Centre Executive Committee based at Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, gave a detailed presentation on the Center.
