Ajman University (AU), geared up to attract brilliant students from all nationalities, has decided to mark its 30th anniversary with more scholarships, worth Dh20 million, to help more students pursue their academic study.
AU Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir, Ph.D., said they have given nod to an array of scholarships whereby discounts up to 40 per cent on tuition fees shall be granted to CBSE and GCSE graduates nationwide.
“Scholarships with discounts up to 50 per cent on tuition fees shall be given to AU alumni and their first degree relatives who wish to complete their graduate studies (Master and PhD programs).”
Scholarships of up to 20 per cent discount on tuition fees shall also be given to the relatives studying at Ajman University, he disclosed.
“Ajman University, out of its commitment to social responsibility, has approved full scholarships with 100 per cent discount on tuition fees for determined (special needs) students.”
Scholarships, with discounts up to 100 per cent shall also be granted to AU staff and their relatives, Dr. Seghir unveiled.
“Ajman University, all set to encourage students to continue their graduate sturdy, now offers scholarships up to 20 per cent discount for aspirant AU students of Master degree in Arabic language.”
The University has further come up with special scholarships up to 100 per cent for high school toppers nationwide. “The same 100 per cent discount on tuition fees shall be given to high schools toppers of the Emirate of Ajman.”
High school students with a CGPA of 99+ per cent shall be awarded a 50 per cent discount on their tuition fees, while those with a 90+ per cent CGPA shall be awarded 20 per cent discount, Dr Seghir elaborated. “Scholarships of 100 per cent discount shall be granted to the best achievers in AU colleges.”
A 20 per cent discount shall be awarded to the employees of local and federal departments within the Emirate of Ajman who wish to pursue their undergraduate or graduate studies, he stated. “Scholarships up to 100 per cent shall be given to new and old students selected by the Ajman Ruler’s Court, as per AU rules.”
Dr Seghir said Ajman University, since its inception in 1988, has adopted a comprehensive system whereby scholarships, discounts and financial aid up to Dh20 million are granted to eligible students every year. “These grants are targeting brilliant, creative, indigent and determined students, along with AU staff and their first degree relatives.”
