Ajman University (AU) made it happen again and won an advanced position in the FIP World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sept. 22-26.
Members of the Pharmacy Practice Research Group at the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Dr. Sanah Hasan, Research Assistant Shrouq Mahameed and Lecturer Yassin Al-Hariri have won the 3rd place in the Social Administrative Pharmacy Section (SAPS) Poster Competition.
The event was part of the 79th FIP World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, held in Abu Dhabi recently.
The winning poster - “Translation and cultural adaptation of diabetes knowledge and literacy assessment tools”, discusses the translation and cultural adaptation process of specific diabetic knowledge and health literacy tools to be used in Arabic context.
This achievement, one of AU Pharmacy research group initiatives, is aimed to develop the UAE community awareness about diabetic health literacy. It is also meant to improve diabetic patient knowledge.
