Ajman University (AU), being at the forefront of UAE education since its foundation in 1988, is all set to boost innovation and entrepreneurship in every nook and corner.
An agreement to this effect has been inked by the University and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) - one of the largest global firms for professional services and education, to strengthen cooperation, exchange information and organize events and activities.
The MoU was signed by Ajman University Chancellor Karim Seghir, Ph.D., and Mr. Ali Hassan Shalabi, Executive Director of TAG.Global Sharjah and Ajman offices, in the presence of H.E Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of TAG.Global.
Chancellor Seghir said the agreement is in line with the University strategy to create strong and unique relations with public and private sector institutions nationwide.
“We will be adopting and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship to achieve our common goals at the local and global levels.”
AU and TAGG are to exchange experience re creativity and innovation to achieve joint strategic goals, he added.
“This will take shape in a variety of workshops and specialized courses to promote innovation, enhance knowledge, and help AU students and TAG.Global staff exchange and apply creative ideas.”
TAG Global, as part of this MoU, is to cooperate with the Ajman University Center for Innovation in terms of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and patents, Chancellor Seghir underlined.
“Both sides are also to exchange expertise in preparing and operating innovation labs based on international standards.”
H.E Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh said the agreement is to take innovation to a higher level. “We are pleased to sign this MoU with one of the best universities in the region.”
He added that the TAG.Global over 110 offices and unique educational entities around the globe will be involved in this promising agreement.
“There is an urgent need to guide students towards the ‘industry of knowledge’, creativity and innovation from early stages,” he affirmed. “Transition from education to learning is also critical in this regard, though.”
