Students of Mass Communication at Ajman University (AU) have actively chipped in the 18th edition of the Arab Media Forum held recently under the theme 'Arab Media: From Now to the Future’.
They had a precious chance to explore the reality and future of the Arab media in the event annually organized under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at the Dubai World Trade Center.
The students participated in several panel discussions on new media and the future of media in the Arab world in the two-day gathering which brought together prominent Arab, regional and international media figures, professionals, intellectuals, academics, experts, organizations, and thought leaders.
Enlightened on how to use media in spreading the culture of tolerance, the students of mass communication were also briefed on the smallest palm-sized super high definition video camera invented.
Using old media tools, the students later had a chance to read the news bulletin in a replica setting of the same that dates back to the 1960s at the Al Ain news platform.
