AU hosts debate on openness to contemporary technology

The Student Guidance Unit at the Deanship of Student Affairs in Ajman University has run an inspiring debate on the openness to contemporary technology.

The valuable discussion, the first series of Ajman University debates, was managed by Dr. Dalia Badawi, Director of the Student Guidance Unit.

The debate witnessed the participation of Dr. Kamran Arshad, Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Fahr Hayati, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.

Dr. Mohamed Nasr, Head of Medical Equipment Engineering, Dr. Zehra Edis, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Bilal Zakarneh, Head Department of Foreign Languages, participated in the discussion as well.

The scholars present mulled over a number of key topics, spanning the definition of technology, as well as positive and negative effects of technology in the present era.

They also pondered how technology can be used in a useful way, and to what extent technology is related to technical progress.
