Ajman University (AU) has reached an agreement with the UAE Society of Engineers (SOE) to run joint activities and events and exchange information and expertise.
As per a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently inked by AU Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir, Ph.D., and SOE President Eng. Mohammed Mashroom, both sides have agreed on supporting scientific research.
The Society is to be a valuable addition to AU engineering students, according to Dr. Seghir. “The Society is to provide hands-on training for our students and hone their practical skills.”
The Council of Young Engineers, lately formed by the UAE Society of Engineers is a step forward in the right direction, he added.
“It will help enhance the skills and capabilities of AU young engineers in a way that empowers them to keep abreast with the demands of the labor market.”
Eng. Mashroom said the agreement is in line with the Society strategy to boost cooperation with all education entities related to engineering work nationwide.
“This strategic partnership will help the Society benefit from the accumulative expertise of Ajman University in scientific research, and come up with new visions for developing engineering practices.”
