The QS Intelligence Unit has awarded Ajman University (AU) with the highest possible ratings of “Five QS Stars” in the categories of Social Responsibility, Inclusiveness, and Learning Environment. AU also has earned “Four QS Stars” in the areas of Teaching and Internationalization.
The prestigious rating results were formally presented to AU Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir by QS Regional Director Ashwin Fernandes at an evening ceremony on May 22, 2019.
“AU is being recognized as an institution of distinction on the global map of higher education,” Dr. Seghir remarked. “I applaud our remarkable community for making all of these stars happen. We’ve reached another landmark moment in our pursuit of international excellence.”
“Ajman University is gaining recognition for its unique learning environment and commitment to globalization,” commented Mr. Fernandes. “The institution has proved that it is worthy of Five QS Stars in the categories of inclusivity, social responsibly, and facilities. I’m also very pleased that they are performing extremely well in teaching and internationalization – earning Four QS Stars for both.”
The QS Stars ratings system evaluates universities across a wide range of important performance indicators as set against pre-established international standards.
As per QS report, Ajman University has clrealy illustrated its commitment to community engagement, human capital development and sustainability.
“Students at Ajman University have reported high satisfaction, both with teaching and their overall experience, leading to maximum points being achieved in each indicator,” the reports underlined.
“I am delighted that Ajman University has achieved full marks in inclusiveness which has been part of our DNA for more than 3 dacades, through various channels including generous scholarships and finanical aid schemes, up-to-date disability services, and inclusive life-long learning opportunities.” Dr Seghir added.
QS World University Rankings lists AU among the top 1000 universities worldwide and one of the top 150 universities under 50 years. AU programs have earned international accreditations from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE); the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET; the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA); and, UNESCO-UIA, the International Union of Architects.
