Ajman University (AU) has concluded an agreement with the Emirates Weightlifting Association (EWA) to encourage sports, as well as youth and community activities.
This is to be assumed by making maximum use of the potential, facilities and infrastructure resources available with both side.
The MoU was signed by AU Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir, Ph.D. and H.E Sultan bin Sheikh Mohammed bin Mejren, Chairman - EWA, in the presence of AU Vice-Chancellor and a number of officials from both sides.
As per the agreement, Au and EWA will run joint courses and competitions in team and individual games, along with sports seminars, conferences, workshops, events, activities and programs.
The Emirates Weightlifting Association is also to encourage talented players to join Ajman University, and provide them with due technical staff to develop their performance and spread sports concepts and practices.
EWA is also to secure the olympic weightlifting equipment for training AU students so that the master the necessary skills and knowledge.
The move reflects two sides’ passion to organize joint activities and events, exchange experiences and information of common interest and benefit from the scientific, practical and professional potentials of both sides.
