Exploring Careers in Pharmacy: A Successful Alumni Symposium at Ajman University

Today, Ajman University’s Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs, in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, hosted the Pharmacy Symposium – Exploring Careers in Pharmacy.

We were honored to welcome four distinguished AU alumni who are now excelling in international pharmaceutical companies in the UAE:

• Dr. Jafar Al Shadidi ’18 – Regional Regulatory Coordinator & RA, PV, QA Levant Specialist, Exeltis Middle East & Africa
• Dr. Ali Al Hashimi ’18 – Medical Representative, Ferring Pharma
• Dr. Mirna Ayman Naser ’17 – Marketing Specialist, Pharmalink Drug Store
• Dr. Aya Khawatmi ’18 – Pharmacist, Marina Pharmacy Group

The symposium provided our senior pharmacy students, who will graduate this spring, with valuable insights into career paths in medical representation, marketing, retail pharmacy, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, and quality assurance.

The event was also attended by Prof. Abeer AlGhananeem, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Dr. Akram Ashames, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and faculty members.
