COPHS Faculty Engage in the 8th Regional Workshop on Advancing Pharmacy Education

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) at Ajman University proudly participated in the 8th Regional Faculty Development Workshop on Contemporary Topics in Pharmacy Education, held from 10th to 11th January 2025. This impactful event was organized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), and Dubai Pharmacy College for Girls (DPC).

The workshop provided a dynamic platform for faculty members to engage with thought leaders and educators, focusing on advancing pharmacy education through three critical themes:

  • Best Practices in Experiential Education and Preceptor Development
  • Competency-Based Assessment, Grading, and Skills Assessment
  • Artificial Intelligence in Pharmacy Education and Its Use by Academic Staff

Through interactive sessions and insightful presentations, faculty explored cutting-edge methodologies to enhance teaching effectiveness, promote student engagement, and integrate innovative technologies into the curriculum. The event also served as a valuable opportunity for networking and collaboration, allowing participants to reconnect with peers and discuss emerging trends shaping the future of pharmacy education. Ajman University is committed to fostering excellence in pharmacy education and contributing to the advancement of healthcare education in the region.
