On April 29th, 2024, The MSc in Clinical Pharmacy students at Ajman University attended a training session on implementation of E-Portfolio in the MSc program organized by Dr. Sanah Hasan, Coordinator of the Program and led by Samer Alalalmeh, a Sponsored Graduate Research Assistant in the Program. The session aimed to teach students how to effectively use E-Portfolios to present their academic and professional and/noncurricular achievements.
The training session covered various aspects of E-Portfolios utilization, beginning with how to access and navigate the platform. It included detailed instructions on editing and customizing CVs to meet professional standards, and highlighted the essential elements needed to create a comprehensive profile.
Additionally, students learned about the strategic inclusion of portfolio artifacts such as research projects, attended conferences, earned certificates, and extracurricular activities which are crucial as they provide tangible evidence of skills and accomplishments, offering a complete view of a student’s capabilities.
Moreover, the session emphasized the significance of E-Portfolios in today's digital landscape. As dynamic repositories of a student’s work, E-Portfolios enable students to track their learning and development over time, showcasing their evolving expertise to prospective employers and academic committees. By the end of the session, the students were better prepared to use their E-Portfolios to their advantage, engaging in discussions and asking questions.
