Dean of the COPHS Acknowledges 3rd Year Pharmacy Student Obaya Ahmed Bezeid
On October 8, 2024, Professor Abeer AlGhananeem, Dean of COPHS, joined a celebration organized by the Student Success Center (SSC) at the Deanship of Student Services to celebrate Ms. Obaya Ahmed Bezeid, 3rd Year Pharmacy student and Projects Coordinator with the SSC, for her appointment as a Student Board Member at the Center for Academic Integrity in the UAE (CAIU). The center, based at the University of Wollongong in Dubai and part of the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI), focused on promoting ethics and academic integrity in educational institutions.
In her address, Professor AlGhananeem said that in recognizing Ms. Obaya Ahmed Bezeid today, we celebrate not only her individual achievement but also her embodiment of the values we uphold at the College of Pharmacy: integrity, leadership, and a commitment to excellence. Prof Abeer said that this appointment of the first Ajman University student who becomes a Board Member at the Center for Academic Integrity is a testament to Obaya’s dedication to promoting ethical practices. “Obaya’s role will serve as an inspiration to her peers and the entire university community, and we are incredibly proud to support her on this exciting journey”, Prof. Abeer added.
Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student Services, hosed the ceremony, which, beside Professor Abeer AlGhananeem, was also attended by, Dr. Akram Ashames, Assistant Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, and Professor Nadir Kheir, Manager of the SSC.
