The Pharmacy student Doaa Al Alimi and her team represented Ajman University at the Green Campus Competition held at Khalifa University. The team won the first place with their project titled the Innovative Green Electric Pots! This achievement is especially meaningful as it highlights our commitment to sustainability and aligns closely with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Doaa explained” As a pharmacy student, I recognize the critical impact of air pollution on mental health and its connection to respiratory diseases and other health issues. This awareness has guided our project’s development, as we integrated specific plants known for air purification and potential applications in research and labs. These plants could offer valuable resources for ongoing research in health and environmental sciences. Our Green Electric Pots are an innovative, eco-friendly solution aimed at advancing sustainability within educational institutions. These solar-powered smart pots not only purify the air but also support urban greening through hydroponic systems. We’re proud to have developed a solution that reflects our creativity, dedication, and the environmental values that Ajman University stands for”.
The brilliant third year Pharmacy student will represent Ajman University at the Green Campus Competition with her project at COP29 in Baku.
