The Advisory Board of the College met on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 to discuss matters related to College programs and avenues of collaboration with the University. Dr Sanah welcomed the Advisory Board to the meeting and thanked them for joining. The new structure of the advisory board was introduced, which is based on the recent university suggestions in accordance with its new strategic plan 2023 to restructure the advisory board to include members from different aspect of practice as well as academia. Dr. Saeed Abdullah Mohammed Hussein and Dr Muhammad Mushfiq Ali Khan will be appointed as the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Advisory Board respectively. The Dean addressed the Board and clarified the main role of the Board and the relationship between the Board and the College. Dr Moawia AlTabbakha, Coordinator of the BPharm program and Head of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department, briefed the Board on ACPE and CAA re-accreditation activities this semester. The new strategic plan- will be shared through OneDrive to all members for feedback. Additionally, Dr Sanah briefed the board on the newly approved program MSc in Clinical Pharmacy program, the make up of courses in each semester and the training structure in the last year to include Internal med 1, 2, peds, acute care and ambulatory care. Board members gave their feedback on College programs and on possible programs that may be offered at AU in the future. Other partnerships and possibilities for collaborations were discussed.
