College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in collaboration with Neo Science and MGI Tech Co., LTD., hosted the seminar focused on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) research, NGS clinical applications, and single-cell sequencing. The event took place on May 11, 2023.
The seminar started with an opening speech by Faisal Al Bahar, Managing Director of Neo Science, who introduced the company and its background. Following the introduction, Reshma Suresh, Product Manager at MGI, provided insights into MGI's company background and product lines, highlighting the core technology and applications of NGS. Mr. Sunil Bose, Field Application Specialist at MGI, further delved into single-cell and spatial omics, shedding light on their significance and potential. The technical session covered various applications, including reproductive health, rare disease and newborn genetic testing, oncology and pharma genomics, bioinformatics solutions, and general workflow preparation.
