The presentation also addressed the role of adverse event reports in identifying and monitoring harmful medication interactions, emphasizing effective measures to minimize their impact on patient health. Moreover, it explained the importance of these aspects and how to achieve a balance between treatment efficacy and patient safety.
Additionally, a Q&A session was held to discuss topics related to pharmacovigilance and its importance in promoting patient safety.
"Patient safety is the number one priority in healthcare. Pharmacovigilance forms the foundation for achieving this safety, contributing significantly to preventing harmful drug interactions and ensuring the positive impact of medications on patients’ health. Remarkable advancements in healthcare technology have made pharmacovigilance more vital than ever, therefore, we must all collaborate as healthcare professionals, students, and even the patients and their care givers, to enhance patient safety. Awareness and education are the first steps toward achieving this goal. So, let us work together with dedication for a better and healthier future for everyone.", said Dr. Mohamed Ramadan.
