Breast Cancer Awareness Day
As part of breast cancer awareness activities, the Health and Wellness Club participated in the “Early Detection for Your Protection Event” in association with The office of Medical Services and the office of Students Life. Where the club members provided a lot of information for students about breast cancer, its early detection, symptoms, how to prevent it, phyto-medicines and treatment.
This event was held on 27th/10/2022 in the ground floor of the student hub, female side beside the clinic, the participating club members organized many activities between the female students to spread awareness among them and transmit the message to their families and encourage them to get early screening.
As part of the activities, the club members have conducted a Pop Quiz contest for all the topics presented, which aims to raise the level of awareness among university students about this important topic and encourage them to undergo early screening. Contest winners won nice pink gifts.
After the competitions, the club members distributed some simple gifts to the students and invited them to colour the breast cancer logo with their fingerprints, and then the participants were invited to take group photos to conclude the event.
