Students of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University participated in the International Conference on Pharmacy and Medicine (ICPM) 2022 in its sixth session, which was held from January 18-20, 2022 at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, with the participation of many researchers, professionals, and students from inside and outside the UAE.
The students of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Ajman University, Mohammed Taalab, Reem Ahmad, Sna Ishak, Halima Khalil, Lina Zerguine, and competed with their counterparts from the colleges of pharmacy in the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Egypt in the Scientific competition and were able to get first place after their victory in the last round over the students of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Sharjah.
In the poster competition, our students participated in several posters that competed with students of other colleges of pharmacy in the Emirates and were able to win the third place. The students Zahraa Emad and Bilal Al-Jubouri won the third place in their project under the supervision of Dr. Akram Ashames and Suhaib Khan, entitled "Comparison study of antimicrobial effect of nanoparticles produced via green synthesis with nanoparticles produced by using polymer nanoparticles preparation method" The students Zubaida Al Kubaisi and Haneen Al Kubaisi also won the third place repeated in their project under the supervision of Dr. Akram Ashames entitled “Keep antibiotics running”. The students Rawdah Mohamed, Maryam Mohamed and Yousef Alani Supervised by Dr. Hala Al-Obaidi, participated in the conference by their poster titled "COVID-19 vaccines and their associated adverse/side effects; A Rapid Systematic Review"
The Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University, Prof. Najeeb Hassan, congratulated the students and their supervisors for winning the first places, which confirms the keenness of the university and its senior management to provide the appropriate atmosphere and support to achieve the university's vision of excellence in the fields of scientific research.
