Ajman University won the first place among other universities in the students’ competition of pharmacy students and granted the first three awards in the poster competition

A huge achievement is being added to the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University with the first place and three awards at the International Conference of Pharmacy and Medicine (ICPM) on its 5th Annual Session, held from 7 to 9 April 2021 at Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park that witnessed the participation of researchers, academics, scientists and students from pharmacy and health care sectors from all around the world.

 The students of the College of Pharmacy won first place among all students of 3 other pharmacy colleges in a tough competition conducted in the ICPM for 3 days. Our students scored the full mark as they answered all questions correctly.

Our winning team consisted of the brilliant students Halima Khalil, Noora Ibrahim and Bilal Al-Juboori.

In the poster competition, our bright students have rewarded with the first 3 awards.

The students Batool Karzoun and Zahra Layth won first place in the poster competition for their poster titled “the Hidden Formaldehyde content in cosmeceuticals containing preservatives that release formaldehyde and their compliance behaviors: bridging the gap between compliance and local regulation” under the supervision of Prof. Moayad Shahwan. The second prize went to the Students Tala Samie Dib and Soheil Dashtinezhad for their poster titled “Assessment of physicochemical, pharmacokinetic properties and molecular docking studies of dihydropyrazoles as antitubercular ligands by Insilico tools”. The third award was granted to the students Nadieh Raed Zhour Adi and Hibaterrahmane Zitouni for their poster “Insilico tools to assess the physichochemical, pharmacokinetic and molecular docking of aryl/heteroaryl chalcones as antitubercular agents”. The last 2 posters were supervised by Dr. Richie R. Bhandare, Ms. Haya Yassin, and in collaboration with Dr. Afzal Basha Shaik from Vignan Pharmacy College, India.

Professor Nageeb Hassan, the Dean of the college, congratulated the students for their achievement and applauded their success.

In recognition of the Ajman University's outstanding participation in the 5th session of the ICPM, the organizing committee also presented the conference trophy to Ajman University.
