This course provides students with fundamentals and hands-on practice on essential instrumental techniques used in the pharmaceutical analysis. In the first part of the course, the basics of electrochemical, absorption spectrophotometric, and atomic spectroscopic methods of analysis will be covered. In the second part of the course the theory, instrumentation, and applications of anumber of common chromatographic methods including thin layer liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, and high performance liquid chromatography, as well as common molecular spectroscopic techniques will be discussed.
