The course provides students with hands-on experience in caring for infants, children, and adolescents. During the rotation, students learn to assess the unique developmental and health needs of pediatric patients, administer age-appropriate medications, and provide comprehensive care to children with acute and chronic conditions. They develop skills in pediatric nursing interventions, such as pediatric medication calculation, pediatric assessment techniques, and pediatric therapeutic communication that will prepare students to provide safe and compassionate care to pediatric patients in various healthcare settings.
