The course focuses on the theoretical foundations of providing nursing care to women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, as well as care for newborns.   The course covers topics such as prenatal care, normal and high-risk pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care. Students will develop an understanding of evidence-based practices in maternity and newborn health, as well as skills in promoting maternal-infant bonding, breastfeeding support, and postpartum education.
