In its endeavors to keep the Ajman University Alumni abreast of the latest trends in the soft skills Alumni Association regularly organizes workshops. In this series were two very important workshops, held at Sheikh Zayed Centre for Exhibition and Conferences. They were attended by graduating students and alumni association members.
The first of the series was “Importance of beauty and etiquettes in social life”. Beauty as a concept has many derivative meanings. To be able to see beauty in others and in our environment is very important, it is one of the main components of one’s life. We define and seek beauty in all forms around us.
The workshop presented by Dr. Mustafa Hamid Al Tai, Associate Professor at the College of Information, Mass Communication and Humanities, outlines various skills that qualify as beauty when applying for employment opportunities.
The second in the series was a training course on “Creative Thinking and Success”. When it comes to thought process it is always the creative thinking that sets you apart from the rest. The training course discussed the importance of an environment which is conducive to creativity, the stages of creative thinking and the barriers that hinder the creative process. It also streamlined the difference between creative thinking and analytical thinking.
Dr. Safa Othman, teaching assistant, from Information, Mass Communication and Humanities delivered the training course attended by more than 70 students.
