The College of Architecture, Art & Design Celebrates the Winners of the 2024 CAAD Student Awards
The College of Architecture, Art & Design (CAAD) at Ajman University hosted its highly anticipated CAAD Student Awards, coordinated by Dr. Raghad Mourad, to celebrate students' creativity, innovation, and academic excellence of its students. The fifth edition of the prestigious awards ceremony took place on February 28, 2025, recognizing the hard work and dedication of students across various award categories.
Launched in 2021, the CAAD Student Awards honor outstanding achievement in both academic performance and creative endeavor, with specific focus on students in the Architecture and Interior Design streams of the college. Award categories are designed to acknowledge excellence in both design and leadership, and the recognition reflects the continued growth and success of the CAAD program.

- The Best Architecture Project Award: Recognizes students nominated by their design instructors for outstanding performance in their Design course each academic semester.
Winner: Sarah Abid Mughal Abid Hussain - The Best Interior Design Project Award: Awarded to students nominated by their design instructors for exceptional performance in the Interior Design course each academic semester.
Winner: Zainab Dabo Rabiu - Student Leader of the Year: Honors students who excel in extracurricular activities, contribute to student events, communicate effectively with peers, volunteer for community service, or make other notable contributions.
Winner: Julia Taleb Moussa Dit Elsidawi - Most Improved Performance: Recognizes students who show significant GPA improvement during the year.
Winner: Osman Magdi Ahmed - Best Graduation Project Award: Awarded to students displaying outstanding performance in their Graduation Projects, as nominated by their graduation instructors at the end of the academic year.
Architecture Winner: Asma Alhermoodi
Interior Design Winner: Yasmin Olabi - Best Overall Student Award: Presented to the student with the highest GPA in the college who has completed at least 40 credit hours by the award submission deadline.
Winner: Glerica Irish De Gracia Clado - Best BIM Project: Recognizes students nominated by their instructors at the end of each academic semester for exceptional work in Building Information Modeling.
Winner: Oulla M. Taher Sabbagh - Best Generative Design Award: Awarded to students with outstanding performance in their Generative Design course, as nominated by their instructors.
Winner: Zinah Basim Abdulsamad Al-Habbashee - Best Model Making Award: Acknowledges the student who demonstrates creativity and skill in model making.

The 2024 CAAD Student Awards was an unforgettable celebration of the brilliant minds shaping the future of architecture and design. The award recipients exemplify a passion for pushing the boundaries of design and technology, redefining the future of architecture with computational tools and digital innovation.
