AUWEC Celebrates Completion of an Impactful First Cycle and Key Milestones

Ajman University Women Empowerment Council (AUWEC) recently celebrated the successful completion of its inaugural cycle, marking a year of significant contributions to both the university and the wider community.

The event, led by Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Chair of the Council and Dean of Student Services, highlighted key achievements, including a series of impactful workshops and training sessions designed to equip participants with valuable knowledge and skills. Beyond the campus, AUWEC spearheaded more than 15 community-support initiatives, extending its influence and reinforcing its commitment to positive social change.

Dr. Al Qassimi emphasized that the Council's work has fostered a culture of inclusion, resilience, and leadership—a solid base for future initiatives. The diverse composition of the inaugural cycle, comprising 17 members from various backgrounds including faculty, staff, students, and alumni representing over 12 nationalities, underscores the Council's inclusive ethos.

In her address, Dr. Al Qassimi noted, "We united from across the university—faculty, students, and staff—driven by a shared vision: to amplify the voice and value of women in our community. Your exceptional efforts have enabled us to transcend event planning, building a strong community, advocating for change, mentoring future leaders, and transforming ideas into tangible action, all while creating a secure and encouraging environment for women. I extend my sincere gratitude to all members of the first AUWEC cycle for their outstanding contributions. We eagerly anticipate the next chapter, where we will collectively strive for even greater accomplishments."
