Data Analytics Student at Ajman University Pioneers AI Solution to Revolutionize Job Search

Ajman University’s Data Analytics student Maryam Hesham is making waves in the tech world through her groundbreaking contributions to the ‘Ajman Job Connect’ project, developed during her internship at the Department of Digital Ajman (DDA). At the recent GITEX Dubai exhibition, Maryam represented the Ajman Government Pavilion under the theme “Ajman Data Community: Made by Students,” presenting her project to an audience of global technology leaders and innovators.

The Ajman Job Connect initiative leverages advanced machine learning algorithms to analyze job data from multiple sources and generate personalized recommendations for job seekers based on their qualifications and CV data. The platform is designed to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, addressing challenges on both ends of the recruitment process.

Maryam explained the motivation behind the project, stating, “Many job seekers face challenges finding roles that align with their qualifications, and employers often struggle to find suitable candidates. This platform aims to improve job placement outcomes while offering users a seamless and personalized experience.”

A key innovation of the project is the integration of a voice-based user interface, enhancing accessibility for people of determination (POD). This feature, which supports both mobile and web platforms, underscores Maryam’s commitment to creating inclusive technological solutions.

The project has attracted significant interest from prominent organizations, who are exploring its scalability and applicability across sectors like education and healthcare.

Maryam expressed gratitude for the support she received, stating, “It’s incredibly fulfilling to see the impact of this project recognized by professionals and tech enthusiasts. I am deeply thankful to Ajman University and the Department of Digital Ajman for this opportunity and to my mentors—Mr. Rashid Al Shamsi, Ms. Khawla Al Shamsi, Ms. Dina Fares, and Dr. Ghazi Al Naymat—for their guidance and encouragement.”

Beyond her current achievements, Maryam has ambitious plans for the future. She aims to expand the application’s functionality to cater to a wider audience and to explore AI-driven solutions in other fields, such as education and healthcare. After graduation, she plans to pursue advanced studies in artificial intelligence to continue developing impactful, data-driven solutions that address societal needs.

Maryam’s contributions not only highlight the role of Ajman University in nurturing talent but also reflect the Emirate of Ajman’s dedication to fostering a culture of innovation and digital transformation.
