Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council, chaired the meeting of Ajman University’s Board of Trustees, Ajman University celebrated the 53rd National Day at Sheikh Zayed Center on campus. The event was organized by the Deanship of Student Services and attended by Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of AU, Cabinet members, faculty, staff, and students.
The celebration included the participation of all colleges, the Office of Sustainability, and several external entities, including the General Command of Ajman Police, Al Mahatta Museum, Sharjah Museums Authority, Holy Qur’an Complex in Sharjah, Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space sciences & Technology, Emirates Astronomy Society, Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation, Manbat Store, the Traditional Games House, and Sharjah Institute for Heritage. These contributions enriched the event with diverse activities and traditional displays that highlighted the cultural and national identity of the UAE.
Highlights of the celebration included a traditional Yola dance performance by "Al Wishahat Al Harbia," a patriotic performance by Sheikh Poet Majid Al-Khatri, who presented a poetic excerpt about the UAE, and a spirited singing performance by the Student Music Club, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Additionally, the event featured an art exhibition showcasing creative works by a group of talented artists.
At the conclusion of the celebration, Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student Services, honored the participating artists and contributors, in recognition of their efforts in making the celebration a success.
