Ajman University (AU) students, in a bid to promote social responsibility, have run a ‘charity dish’ function for the benefit of senior citizens and orphans here.
The kind gesture, supervised by Dr. Mervyn Misajon, Assistant Professor of Resource Development, reflects the commitment of Public Relations Students at the College of Business Administration to vulnerable segments of the society.
Crowds of students flocked to the event which brought together senior citizens and orphans with the Ajman University community.
AU Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir, Ph.D., welcomed the delegation of senior citizens and orphans and chatted with them in a family atmosphere.
The fun-filled event featured a variety of games and face painting that put a smile on the faces of the orphans present.
The initiative is part of Ajman University community drives that are meant to instill the values of social responsibility, compassion and solidarity in the hearts and minds of the students.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulhaq Al Nuaimi, Vice Chancellor for Advancement & Communication, Dr. Martin West, Dean of the College of Business Administration, AU faculty and a group of students.
