AU - Fujairah Campus Participates in International Media Conference in Dubai
As part of a large audience representing local, regional, and international media institutions, four faculty members and a group of students from the Department of Public Relations & Advertising at the College of Mass Communication & Humanities at AU Fujairah Campus attended yesterday Wednesday February 28 in Dubai the 13th Middle East Conference. The conference was organized by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) in partnership with Dubai Production City (DPC).
His Excellency Omar Bin Sultan Al-Olama, the UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, opened the conference and indicated in his address the challenges currently confronting the traditional media. A number of prominent media personalities took part in the opening day’s conference events, and more are scheduled to participate in the subsequent sessions. Among the issues raised and those that will be explored are such urgent themes as the future of the publishing industry in the Middle East region, the new trends in the digital media, electronic marketing, and optimal activation of the role of innovation in media institutions and media practices.
