Art Snappers, a group of talented interior design students from Ajman University (AU), proudly exhibited their work at Dubai’s upbeat destination, The Beach located at JBR.
The team “Art Snappers” displayed their creative skills live for the visitors of JBR. This open workshop featured a student-only creations in the making, and illustrated the process by which AU interior design students turn old furniture into new pieces of art. The transformation took shape live before the public’s eyes, set against a beautiful music performance by two AU students.
AU students amazed the viewers with their skills and the variety of techniques they utilized to renovate old pieces of furniture. Some of these techniques involved painting on canvas, embroidery work, decoupage, stitching beads, calligraphy and working with wood and metal to create unique pieces of art and give new life to old furniture. It was a wonderful experience and a great challenge to start and finish their projects on site.
AU students welcomed questions from The Beach visitors and were more than happy to engage with them while working on their creations. The viewers felt the creations of AU Art Snappers in a pleasant, warm atmosphere, under the soothing sound of The Beach waves.
