Ajman University Raises UAE Flag to Honor Nation

On Thursday, November 1, 2018, Ajman University witnessed the UAE flag raising ceremony in response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in which he called upon all departments, institutions and bodies to raise the flag of the UAE. This day marks the anniversary of the accession of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

Dr. Abdulhaq Al-Nuaimi, Vice Chancellor for Development and Communication, raised the flag of the UAE on the campus at 11:00 am, in the presence of university officials, deans of the colleges, directors of departments, members of academic and administrative staff as well as university students.

The event promotes the value of tolerance and love among the students, as well as the spirit of belonging and loyalty to the country. The flag was raised at the same time and on a specific date, which would enlighten citizens and the residents about the true symbol and values of this amazing country.

On the other hand, the student council at the university distributed flags in several regions of Ajman to celebrate UAE Flag Day, whereby citizens and residents welcomed this great initiative with great open hands.
