World Book Day at AU
On the international occasion of World Book Day, AU students celebrated the day in their unique style. The Book Club organized a campaign to distribute a valuable collection of books to the members of the university.
The campaign began with the Office of Chancellor, students presented a collection of books to Dr. Karim Seghir, AU Chancellor. The group of students went around the campus visiting Vice-Chancellors, Deans, Faculty members and staff.
Students, Eman Boraq and Aya Nabil, who led the campaign, expressed their happiness and pride at this initiative, which contributes to the rehabilitation of the paper book after its alarming decline caused by the e-books. The campaign aims to revive the habit of reading in line with the UAE's encouraging initiative of reading and literature.
