The Board of Thamer Fund for Educational Solidarity has approved the list of students who had applied for assistance. 72% of the applications were approved and will receive financial support, to continue their educational tenure at Ajman University.
During the last two months, October and November, the Fund received 121 applications. Each case was given its due diligence and after extensive deliberation 88 students hailing from different colleges and nationality benefitted from the Fund amount of AED 1.2Million.
On his part, His Excellency Abdullah Al Mazroui, Chairman of the Thamer Fund for Educational Solidarity praised the continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Ajman and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ajman University. He also thanked His Highness for his patronage of science and knowledge that has made AU a forerunner of higher education.
Al Mazroui stressed that the Fund aims to help more university students who face financial difficulties and are not able to continue their studies. He pointed out that since its inception in June 2013, Thamer Fund has assisted 523 students out of the 967 applications received. 54% students received assistance worth AED 5.5 Million.
