The council members of Thamer Salman Fund for Educational Solidarity at Ajman University held a meeting to discuss the past academic years achievement and review the strategic plan for the year ahead.
The meeting also witnessed the signing of an important agreement between HE Abdullah Al Mazroui, Chairman, Board of Directors of Thamer Fund and His Excellency Rashid Humaid Al Mazroui and his sons Essam Rashid Mazroui and Ali Rashid Al Mazroui, Chief Executives Mazroui Marine Trading Company. Also present were other members of the Thamer Fund; His Excellency Khalid Abdul Wahab Al Khaja, Executive Director of Human Appeal International, HE Nasser Ali Al Junaibi, Executive Director of the Al Ihsan Charity Association and Dr. Abdul Haq Al Nuaimi, Vice Chancellor for Development and Communication at AU.
AU had launched the "Thamer Salman Fund Educational Solidarity" in June 2013, to assist university students, who are unable to continue their education due to any financial reasons. The fund opens its door to all students who meet the criteria for application. Since its establishment the Fund has assisted 434 students to ease their progress and ensure completion of their educational tenure at AU.
