Social Intelligence Skills Workshop

Student Counseling Office at of the Deanship of Student Affairs, Ajman University organized a workshop to introduce the concept of influence in students’ life. Ms. Aisha Al – Mutawa, presented the workshop entitled “Social Intelligence Skills”, it was conducted at the Sheikh Zayed Centre for Conferences and Exhibition premises.

She highlighted the role of social intelligence and its imminent influence on the life of students. She outlined that the way a person reacts to the situation and their work pressure says a lot about their behaviors and skills, therefore being able to have a positive outlook on life in general assists in avoiding conflict and encourages innovative thinking.

Dr. Mutawa stressed that we should be able to adapt to the evolving society by focusing on our development and surrounding. Self-development, language skills and social interactions are some examples of skillsets that can affect a persons’ life.

She also reviewed the practices adopted by the University that encourage students to express themselves and contribute positively to the environment and society at large.
