H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Ajman and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ajman University, and H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, have attended the 26th graduation ceremony of Ajman University, which was held under the slogan, 'The Year of Giving', at the Sheikh Zayed Centre for Conferences and Exhibitions in Al Jarf.
The batch of graduates comprises 1,073 Bachelor's and Master's students from various faculties and specialities and 37 nationalities, including 489 male students who graduated today.
H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid said that higher education is one of the necessities of contemporary life for advancing the country’s overall development while adding that Ajman University aims to fulfil its role of preparing citizens and residents to participate in the UAE’s development process, and noting that the university has made considerable progress in offering advanced programmes and curriculums.
He praised the UAE’s achievements in all areas, especially in education, which resulted from its civilised renaissance, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.
His Highness, the Ruler of Ajman, added that the UAE education system is considered an advanced and leading model in both the region and the entire world, and Ajman University will remain an intellectual and academic beacon, due to its prominent role in various educational endeavours.
Sheikh Humaid praised the efforts of the university’s board of trustees and its academic and administrative staff, who have worked with devotion to attain a number of prominent scientific and academic successes.
He then congratulated the graduates and wished them success and a bright future while urging them to work hard after their graduation, to serve the country and maintain its leading position among the world’s nations. He also congratulated the parents of the graduates and praised their patience and giving, which have enabled their sons and daughters to succeed.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Cabinet Member and Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills; Sheikh Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman’s Ruler Court; Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police; Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ajman Police, and Dr. Amin Hussain Al Amiri, Assistant Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Community Prevention for Public Health and Licenses Policy.
