Ajman University hosted a Pharmacy Career Day organized by the College of Pharmacy and Health Science in conjunction with the Deanship of Student Affairs. The main aim was to give a platform to the pharmacy alumni and graduating students.
The audiences were the pharmacy alumni and graduating students of Ajman University and the event hosted pharmaceutical companies and experts from related industries. This event aimed to help them get ready for their post-graduation journey, and show them how to get the job they deserve. Dr. Mohammed Nasr, Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs opened the event along with Prof. Nageeb Hassan, Dean, College of Pharmacy and Health Science, Dr. Nahla AL Qassimi, Dean, Student Affairs along with Deans welcomed the congregation and addressed them about the College.
The event encompassed lectures, workshops and presentations in all pharmacy discipline that are available for UAE pharmacist as a profession. AU alumni shared with the audience his experience and talked about the chances to work in pharmaceutical companies and the skills needed in marketing field. While, representatives gave lectures about the recent and updated regulation for pharmacy licenses in UAE. Alumni shared their experiences and talked about challenges in community pharmacy while Pharmaceutical representatives talked about the hospital pharmacy experience. Faculty members explained post-graduate study options for graduates and graduating students.
Towards the end of the conference, Prof. Nageeb stated that Ajman University really values its alumni, which currently exceed 30000 and they reflect the values and ideology that the University stands for. In an honoring ceremony to commemorate the ending of a great Pharmacy Career Day, Dr. Adul Haq Al Nuaimi, Vice-Chancellor for Advancement and Communication honored the speakers, industry partners and organizers for their dedication and hard work. The Barjeel Hospital, Iranian Hospital, Ajman Specialty Hospital, Canadian Hospital, Aster Pharmacy and Clinics, Julfar Pharmaceuticals, Ibn Seena Pharmacy are some of the prestigious places where AU students train.
