The Deanship of Student Affairs organized an exhibition and a lecture titled “Build Healing Art” by German artist and architect Mathias Buss at the Sheikh Zayed Center for Conferences and Exhibitions.
Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student Affairs, along with Deans, directors and managers welcomed Mathias Buss on campus. Together they toured the paining exhibition, which hosts 30 beautiful paintings depicting his life in the Middle East. Each painting was set in a different country, city or emirates and told tales of times gone by or captured the essence of the present. Some of the countries were Egypt, Yemen, UAE and others rich in their cultural heritage.
In addition to the exhibition, Mathias Buss presented a lecture on the vital relationship between architecture and healing. He highlighted the importance of the artistic touch in the construction of hospitals and health resorts. He presented the audience with many international experiences in the East and West that have been successful examples of this theory. The lecture was interesting for the audience who interacted with the artist both on and off stage.
Ajman University belives in organizing such events on campus to benefit the students, who learn from industry experts and their extensive knowledge in the field. Students from all colleges were invited to attend the event and participate actively in its engagement.
