The Advisory Board of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University held its annual meeting for the year 2017 in the presence of the Prof. Nageeb Hassan, Dean, College of Pharmacy, a number of faculty members, officials from health authorities, hospitals and companies, along with a number of alumni pharmacists.
The Board discussed the College's new curriculum that was approved by the College Council. The new curriculum was prepared to keep pace with the developments in the pharmaceutical education and its profession worldwide. The Board highly praised the remarkable developments in the College during the past years, which will contribute to producing highly qualified pharmacists.
It is noteworthy to mention that the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has prepared a new study plan, which will be submitted early next year to the Ministry of Education for approval. The plan focuses on clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice, and improved clinical and industrial training.
The new study plan also involved the establishment of Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharma D) degree. The College is currently working on developing and updating its teaching laboratories and establishing a new research laboratory, equipped with advanced research instruments that will enhance the research activities in the various fields of pharmacy.
