College of Business Administration (CBA) at Ajman University is in the process of repositioning itself on the regional and global map of higher education. A key part of that process is redesigning the mission of the college. An extensive and informative workshop with enthusiastic participation and input from all stakeholders was held for this purpose at Sheikh Zayed Hall for Exhibitions and Conferences, Ajman University. Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor Ajman University motivated the participants by attending the workshop and actively participating in it. The event was facilitated by Dr Jacob Chacko, Dean of the College of Business Administration, Abu Dhabi University.
Dr. Mohamed Al Shami, Dean College of Business Administration welcomed and introduced the esteemed guest and thanked the stakeholders for their participation in the event. Dr. Chako gave an insightful presentation about the purpose and role of an organization’s Mission and the significance of a distinctive Mission statement that would clearly define that purpose. He encouraged and involved all the participants in the process of CBA’s mission review. The day featured inclusive and reflective discussions of the strategic priorities for the college and successfully culminated in the development of a mutually proposed and unanimously agreed upon outline for a well-articulated mission and vision statement for the CBA, along with associated initiatives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
