The UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan declared 2017 as the ''Year of Giving'' to promote the culture of giving back to the community and enhance the spirit of volunteering and loyalty towards ones country.
In response to this call the College of Business Administration at Ajman University organized a series of activities participated in by students and faculty alike. These activities showcased the students’ concern for their community and awakened and inspired their civic consciousness. While the community reaped the benefits of their caring the students were also personally touched by the experience.
These projects included spending time and giving gifts to Orphans in the Emirates Sharjah and Ajman. They had activities to support the disabled and special needs people in the Emirates of Sharjah and Ajman. The delegates from the University spend time with children who are suffering from cancer.
Other social service initiative included visiting the construction sites and labour camps and distributing food and refreshments, along with personal care packages to them. The students and faculty members also participated in the clean-up campaign to rid the streets and beaches of garbage.
In an effort to donate wisely the College of Business Administration gave away books and reading material to office cleaners and supported the efforts of the charity associations around UAE that undertake the responsibility of orphans and under privileged.
