Ajman Digital Government announced the winners of the “Be Secure” Competition launched earlier in May this year. It was held in conjunction with the Innovation Center at AU. The competition aimed at tapping in to the creativity of students to raise awareness about cyber security.
Dr. Karim Seghir, AU Chancellor and Ms. Uhood Ali Shuhail, Director General of the Ajman Digital Government honored the winners in the different categories. In addition to, also present at the ceremony were Dr. Hussam Salama, Dean of College of Mass Communication and Humanities and faculty members.
The winners of the video competition, who impressed the jury with their storyline, editing and videography skills, were Rami Miladi, Haya Al Amour, Moimin Mahmood, Hiba Hassan, Rana Mohammed and Rawan Essam. The graphics winners whose creative touches gave the posters an added element of innovation were Kausar Jamal, Basil Barakah and Mariam Al Khatri.
AU and Ajman Digital Government joined hands through this initiative to spread awareness about the common, yet over looked, dangers of using social media and the internet. Responsible usage was highlighted through the talented projects of video and posters presented by Media Students. They were rewarded by certificates and cash cheques at the ceremony.
